New Folio Review for Commercial Photographers
15/01/2010

We're thrilled to announce a new section to the site and a brand new folio review event: Commercially Speaking.

Please take some time to read all about the review including details of who the event is aimed at, reviewers and how to book them - go to Commercially Speaking and follow the links in the left-hand navigation bar.

The cream of London's commercial agents gather for the very first of Rhubarb-Rhubarb's reviews beyond and across the world of Fine Art, into commercial territories.

Commercially Speaking.. hopes to bring the experience of ten years of the Rhubarb International Photographic Review to a different sector, yet one which is increasingly lapping over the world of Fine Art and Documentary. Partly due to demand, and partly due to curiosity, we offer photographers with commercial projects and aspirations the opportunity to show their work to some of those agents you just never can get hold of...

Bookings will start week beginning 18th January 2009

All enquiries, contact Sean McGarry

Thank You

Our Man in Paris... Introducing Marc Prüst
08/12/2009

Our Man in Paris... Introducing Marc Prüst.

Rhubarb-Rhubarb is working with a loose association of specialists around the world, all of whom are advising photographers and managing exhibition, commissioning or publishing projects. Firstly we have linked up with David Birkitt from DMB Media, who is working alongside Rhubarb in London and on his own management company.

This month we would like to introduce you to Our Man In Paris - Marc Prüst.. editor-advisor for photographers and photography project manager.

Marc Prüst (1975) worked as head of the exhibition department at World Press Photo in Amsterdam for six years. In 2005, he collaborated with curator Christian Caujolle and editor Chris Boot on the exhibition and the award winning publication 'Things As They Are: 50 Years of Photo Journalism in Context'. He later moved on to become Director of Cultural Projects at Agence VU’ in Paris. In 2009, Marc created his own business as an independent advisor to photographers and a freelance curator of photography exhibitions.

As an advisor Marc works in close cooperation with the photographer, with the goal of telling the photographer’s story, to recreate through the images the things the photographer wants to say. By getting to know the person behind the camera, he aims to create the story and the presentation fitting to the work.

Photographers who need help editing their work, be it their portfolio for a review at a festival or a book dummy to show to publishers, or who can use some help preparing an exhibition of their work can contact Marc for advice.
